The Science Group is open to all BaM U3A members and you are very welcome to attend any talks that interest you; no prior background in science is needed. If you are not already on our mailing list please contact the Convenor to ensure you receive details of future talks.
The newspapers are full of information on scientific advances: “DNA” and advances in our understanding of genetic disease, new medical treatments, as well as the mysteries of the galaxy, global warming, and microplastics. If you interested in any of these topics you may like to join the Science Group, where we have a programme of talks in hopefully understandable everyday language to update people on areas of science that have changed since their school days and to help people keep abreast of exciting new discoveries and ideas.
