When: Weekly on Tuesday afternoons 2:00 pm-3:00 pm
Venue: Milngavie Community Education Centre

This is a new meditation group, starting April 2026. The group will explore simple meditation practices to help wellbeing. Examples:

·      Breath Awareness: Gently noticing the breath to settle the mind.

·      Gentle Body Awareness: Noticing and softening physical tension in the body.

·      Kindness: Cultivating a sense of care for ourselves and those around us.

Meditation practices will be unhurried, allowing time to repeat and familiarise, over time.

There is no requirement to lie on the floor - members may choose to remain seated in a chair or may use a mat if they prefer. You are encouraged to adopt whichever position is most comfortable for your body.

Clothing: Loose-fitting, comfortable clothing that does not restrict breathing.

Optional extras: warm socks if you prefer to slip your shoes off; a light blanket / shawl to stay warm during periods of stillness, a mat if you choose to lie down.
