There are currently five photography groups operating within Bearsden & Milngavie u3a each catering to a wide range of photographic skills and requirements as indicated below and the displayed images.

The number of groups has grown in line with the numbers of members and the limitations on space for meetings.

The aim of the group is to improve the knowledge and enjoyment of photography for group members with topic discussions and field trips.

The group meets in Milngavie Manor or on location. Meetings normally last for about two hours. We view and critique images from the project set at the previous meeting and hopefully learn from each other's experiences. Due to the larger venue we are able to accommodate new members.

At our last meeting we viewed images taken using both cameras and mobile phones and comparing them. This produced some interesting and unexpected results, but everyone managed to produce some good images. There was as usual plenty of discussion and good natured laughs. Thanks to everyone for their contribution. Our next meeting is on the 6th of December. The topic is "Little Creatures - Real or Imagined". This was suggested by Jeremy

The purpose of the set subjects is to encourage members to explore and become familiar with all aspects of their equipment and to stretch their talents as photographers.
