This September, we’re delighted to welcome Debra Murphy — author, self-publishing consultant, and the voice behind Mother Murphy’s — for a two-hour creative writing workshop, From Idea to Author.

Debra has offered us a Creative Writing Workshop. Debra has spoken at our main meeting.

Debra knows better than most that writing a book can feel impossible. As she puts it, “You don’t get owt for nowt” — but you do get somewhere by making a start. Over two hours, she’ll guide participants through the four pillars every good story needs — plot, characters, dialogue, and location — using hands-on exercises, plenty of laughs, and examples drawn from her own published books.

It is going to be at The Community Meeting Room at Waitrose, Milngavie on Thursday 10th September from 2 - 4pm.
