A talk by David Vennard

David claims to be from a quaint village on the Clyde called Partick.

He has a degree in Human Resources and worked for over 30 years in Management Services Manager with Renfrewshire Council.

He was lucky enough to retire at 50 and since then has been following his passion of Speaking on his favourite subjects.

David is the Past President of “Glasgow Haggis Club” and Past President of “The Glasgow and District Burns Association” and a member of the Alloway Burns Club

He likes to stay active: he swims 1 mile every day! Mon. to Fri. Walking & Cycling and have ran 3 Glasgow Marathons in my time. However, he freely admits he is absolutely rubbish at golf!

David says his aspirations are : Wish I could play Golf like my two sons who are Past Champions of Ralston G.C.

I write poetry and funny limericks, but wish I could write like Burns or Service – They were geniuses!

He has spoken at numerous functions, including Rangers F.C. Dinner/ Glasgow Hawks RFC / Irvine Trades House Dinner/ The Wits Dinner/ Burns & Hogg Keynote toast at the Canongate / Bachelors’ Club/ Ayrshire Condoners Trade Dinner Incl. &“The Big Pie” and the Robert W Service Tribute nights/ Dinners at PGL of Kilwinning / &Glasgow/& Renfrewshire East & West / Masonic Clubs throughout West of Scotland / Lodges of enlightenment / various Burns Clubs over West of Scotland / various Golf Clubs Burns functions / Probus Clubs / & many Church
